Gaming is no longer just a hobby but now a sport. eSport as they call it now is recognized globally. Taking ordinary people and making them recognized by the Online and Real World community not by their physical talents but by how they play a game. These “gamers” are now not only your sons or daughters who stay on their computer all the time just playing with friends from around the world, but now some very talented and exceptional people who make a living off of a simple game. Up to date there are many leagues and tournaments that ordinary people like me and you can go to. One such tournament is the CPL. The Cyberathlete Professional League was creatd June 26, 1997 by Angel Munoz who happened to have high hopes for this event. His high hopes soon became a multi-million dollar industry with sponsors such as Intel and nVidia which are recognized world wide. The CPL is an event where gamers with high hopes and big dreams go, with enough “bank” of course, to to show how good they are and see others play as well. This event is also a great way to talk with others from different parts of the globe. Of course with an event such as the CPL there must BE some professionals right? Right you are. Teams such as 3D and the Complexity Syndicate are professional teams that were once just a bunch of people with high hopes. These people are extremely talented and are recognized world wide. They compete in tournaments such as CAL and WCG. eSports is a widely growing community and I myself is happy to be a part of it.
